About Sam

Built this from
the inside out.

I played Division II basketball at San Francisco State — team captain, 6'8", obsessed with understanding how the body works, not just making it perform.

That obsession turned into a B.S. in Kinesiology, two ISSA certifications, and a coaching approach built around one idea: the gap between knowing and doing is where most people get stuck. My job is to close that gap.

I work with athletes, busy professionals, beginners, and everyone in between — online and in San Diego's North County.

Nope. I build programs around whatever equipment you have access to — full gym, home setup, or anything in between. Just let me know what you're working with on our call.
Nutrition Only is for people who already have a solid training routine and just need their diet optimized. Full Coaching covers both — a custom training program plus full nutrition support. Most clients who want real results go Full Coaching, because training and nutrition are most effective when designed together.
Most programs fail because they're built for a hypothetical person, not you. I write every program from scratch based on your schedule, your goals, your history, and your life. And unlike a static plan, we adjust it every week based on how you're actually doing.
Yes — I work with athletes 15 and up, and I involve parents in the process. For high school athletes, the focus is usually performance, injury prevention, and body composition that doesn't interfere with their sport.
Beyond your actual training, not much. Weekly check-ins take about 5–10 minutes, and you can message me anytime through the app. I build your schedule around your life, not the other way around.
Yes — it's called a recomp, and it's absolutely achievable, especially for people who are earlier in their training or returning after a break. It takes careful calibration of training and nutrition, which is exactly what we do.
We talk for about 20–30 minutes. I ask about your goals, your current routine, your schedule, and what's worked or hasn't in the past. You can ask me anything. If we're a good fit, I'll explain how I'd approach your specific situation. No pressure — I won't pitch you on a call you didn't want.
